Job Description: Stockhandler Duties:

  • Receive, stock, retrieve, and ship items in inventory
  • Maintain accurate inventories, computerized records, and job pull from inventory
  • Perform accurate selection, packaging, labeling, and paper when shipping to product
  • Utilize all equipment and tools needed to execute essential functions of the shipping and receiving area, including:
    • Computer terminals, grinding wheels, compactors, digital scales and counting equipment, automatic and manual banders
    • Power/pneumatic saws, nailers, screw guns, hand held cutting tools, pallet jacks, rolling ladders, crane/gantry, fork trucks and hand carts
    • Pallets, containers and gaylords, wire cages, parts and measuring instruments, lubricants/coolants, metal and other stock
  • Operate PIT equipment to include stockpicker, fork truck, electric and hand pallet jacks
  • Operate of overhead crane
Minimum Qualifications: Stockhandler Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a shipping and receiving environment
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience operating basic hand and power tools
  • Demonstrate understanding of basic math including decimals and fractions
  • Demonstrate ability to operate fork truck
  • Basic computer skills
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in inventory control preferred

Minimum of 1 year of warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Achieve sales and margin goals on all product lines into the assigned territory.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervises independent manufacturers’ representatives in the region.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training representatives where needed.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Technical Bachelor’s degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university; and five to seven years related experience and/or training in technical sales of capital equipment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional classes (courses, seminars) would include:

–  Sales Management

–  Marketing seminars

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.  Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.  Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

  • Develop and implement training for engineering personnel
  • Effectively communicate with entire employee population to maintain excellent inter- departmental relationships and team work, through motivation and coaching, as well as resolving personnel issues when required.
  • Work closely with customers and other internal company departments to ensure the effective coordination of work effort within the company.

Manage New Product conversion and introduction .

  • Establish designs to meet customer/market performance, quality and cost targets and ensure they are met.
  • Establish reasonable design lead-times and assure that schedules are met.
  • Develop cost effective and user-friendly equipment manuals and a system to deliver them with the product.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage a total of 10-15 employees in the Engineering Department. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carry out direct supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Minimum Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or ten to fifteen years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s degree preferred. Additional classes (courses, seminars) would include:

Job Description: SUMMARY

Analyzes blueprints, specifications, proposals and other documentation to prepare time, cost and labor estimates for products, projects or services by performing the following duties. Provide design concepts for various blast systems. Provide engineering design improvements for blast equipment. All managers, supervisors, and employees are responsible for supporting company quality policies and initiatives, as well as promoting, and supporting continuous improvement efforts.

Writes estimates for other equipment.

  • Reviews Sales inquiry report along with customer specifications, if any. Obtains any needed clarification.
  • Obtains outside quotations when necessary and/or if time permits.
  • Writes detailed estimates using appropriate software.

Makes proposal drawings / design concepts / improvements for blast and other equipment.

  • Prepares conceptual drawings of systems and equipment for presentation to the customer when required. Prepares design drawings for machines / improvements as needed.
  • Makes drawings on AutoCad to enable drawing elements to be reused in the future.

Writes proposals for other equipment.

  • Writes proposals describing the estimated systems and equipment.
  • Uses appropriate software when feasible to reduce retyping.
  • Includes in firm proposals items such as terms and conditions, description of acceptance test, etc.
  • Writes budget proposals (“brief”) with list of equipment and price, no terms and conditions.

Makes trips to prospective customer plants as required.

  • Makes trips when necessary to obtain information for preparing an estimate (normally, a Sales Account Representative function).
  • Makes trips with Sales Account Representatives when necessary, to help present the proposal.

Follows up jobs to back check estimates.

  • Reviews job cost summary sheets periodically to compare actual to estimated costs.
  • Investigates reasons for deviations.
  • Reviews Findings with dept manager.
  • Attempts to incorporate findings in future estimates.

Order/Estimate processing.

  • Reviews estimates to Purchase Order for compliance.
  • Ensures receive signed proposal from customer upon order/prior to order confirmation.
  • Enters estimates into Syteline
  • Reports to Sales/Dept head and acts as head of department for all clerical matters.
Minimum Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college minimum, bachelor’s degree (BSME) preferred; plus 3-5 years experience in the blast machine industry or other heavy industrial machinery industry.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write proposals that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to customers and management.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
