Outreach Specialist

Job Title: Outreach Specialist

Location: Greater Lansing, MI area
Job Description: Outreach Specialist

9:00am to 6:00pm

  • Interviews patients/members via phone to gather personal/sensitive information in order to determine eligibility for savings program
  • Uses system to ensure appropriate questions are asked
  • Interpret and explains information such as eligibility requirements and application details
  • Clarifies eligibility data with patient or member
  • Compile, record, and evaluate personal and financial data in order to verify completeness and accuracy.
  • Utilizes the computer system to accurately complete the screening for eligibility and disposition the account as required
  • Initiate procedures to refer patient/member to other agencies for assistance as appropriate
  • Monitors actions to ensure goals are met
  • Dispositions accounts in a timely manner
  • Types and transmits correspondence as necessary
  • Prepares for and participates in all appropriate meetings
  • Performs miscellaneous administrative tasks as required
Minimum Qualifications: Outreach Specialist

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous office experience
  • Competent computer skills including MS Office
  • Attention to detail
  • Previous experience in a call center
  • Good job stability
  • Reliability

Job Description: Administrative Assistant:

  • Scheduling appointments
  • Answer busy multi-lined phones, screening calls, taking messages and transferring calls as appropriate
  • Data entry, scanning and filing
  • Documentation and updating database promptly and accurately
  • General clerical duties
  • Professional and prompt email correspondence
  • Maintain daily calendar accurately
  • Organize and restock office supplies
  • Weekly upkeep of office
  • Assist with registration
  • Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications: Administrative Assistant:

  • Must possess a professional phone manner
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced setting
  • Must have experience with MS Office
  • Must be able to type 50wpm
  • Attention to detail, and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Must have prior experience as a Receptionist
  • Must be organized, accurate, dependable and able to multi-task
